The Public Health program at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) is an integral unit within the Department of Health and Human Performance. MTSU's Public Health program is dedicated to making a positive impact on public health at the local, state, national, and global levels, with a shared goal of enhancing health equity for all.

We achieve this by preparing future public health professionals through an engaging curriculum enriched with relevant and personalized experiential learning, service opportunities, and research experiences. Our deep integration with the community and various partners allows us to equip both traditional and non-traditional students with the core competencies of public health.

Our program offers two degrees: a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Public Health (MPH), catering to the increasing demand for skilled and adaptable public health professionals. For undergraduate students seeking a faster route to an MPH degree, we provide an Accelerated Bachelor's to Master's (ABM) option. This comprehensive approach ensures that our graduates are well-equipped to address the evolving challenges in public health.
