TUC’s Public Health Program mission is to develop effective public health professionals who address health as a human right with a commitment to health equity and respond to the historical roots and structural causes of injustice. The Program offers concentrations in Community Health (Community Action for Health), Global Health and launched Health Equity and Criminal Justice as its third concentration in 2020 which focuses on the intersection of health and the U.S. justice system and addresses the public health impacts of criminal justice involvement and mass incarceration on individuals, families and communities. In addition to offering an independent MPH Program, TUC prides itself on its commitment to training clinical students in three dual/joint MPH tracks. Our degree options are as follows:

Masters of Public Health (MPH)

Joint Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS)/MPH Program

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine/MPH Dual Degree (DO/MPH)

Through collaborations with its regional and international partners, we emphasize participatory and collaborative approaches with local and global communities to advocate for and support community health, self-determination, and social change.
