The MPH Program builds upon a strong tradition of public health education at West Chester University. The Department of Health has a long history of training public health practitioners at the undergraduate and graduate level. During the past three decades, students and faculty have been actively involved in research and service in public health and now the MPH Program is one of the fastest growing programs at the university.
Our diverse and vibrant student body has the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of exciting learning opportunities in five elective tracks: community health, environmental health, integrative health, health care management or nutrition.
These elective tracks provide students with unique educational experiences in courses focusing on local and international community health issues, Latino health, health advocacy, bioterrorism, public health nutrition and the role of integrative health in the current health care system. The integrative health track is one of the first tracks of its kind included in a CEPH-accredited program in the United States. Another unique feature of our program is the MPH Fast Track that enables qualified students to complete their undergraduate and MPH degrees in approximately five years.
